Stat of the Week

This week I wanted to spend a minute talking about a crucial tool in a growing content creators arsenal. As a content creator, it’s important to constantly be looking for ways to optimize your content and improve your results. One powerful tool for doing this is A/B testing, which allows you to compare two different versions of a page, post, profile, ad, or other element to determine which performs best.
How to Run an A/B Test:
- Collect Data
- Identify Your Goals
- Hypothesis
- Create Variations
- Run Your Test
- Analyze Results
What to A/B Test:
One place that I believe A/B testing is especially important is your Instagram profile page. There are so many things that can be changed to drive your desired outcome. For example:
- Profile Picture
- Profile Description
- URL Text
- Pinned Content
- And more!
1776 Faux Farmhouse

One of our goals in December, as you might have seen in our December social medai report, was to convert more viewers of 1776 Faux Farmhouse to followers. We did this slowy over the first part of December by testing different aspects of our profile page. Today, our profile page looks completley different than it has in the past including:
- Bullet points
- Emojis
- Profile picture
- Social proof (TikTok #’s)
- Pinned content
What works for one page and one audience may not work for another. You can certainly use other peoples pages for inspiration, but you need to test what works best for your audience.
Actionable Takeaway
- Create your first A/B test for you Instagram profile page by following the 6 steps above
- Keep testing new variations until you find one that works
Thanks for reading The Saturday Social and we can’t wait to hear how your A/B tests go! As always, hit reply to ask questions or to share how your tests are going.
