Because apparently IG did not upload my description the first time…. let’s try this again.
This is exactly what the Hubster told me when I was finished. So I thought it was fitting. He had his doubts about using kitchen cabinets to make a sideboard, trust me he told me upfront 😂. But I knew the potential and I knew that I could build it.
Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t all roses and butterflies. Read also, two screws going through the bottom, the previous legs falling off FOUR times, cutting the trim molding wrong five times, the mirrors not working, the stain not blending right, and drilling the template wrong for one of the handles. BUT I did this. ME! I am so glad that I didn’t put the money I used to buy one from the store because I’ve learned so much about myself and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Don’t be afraid to push yourself outside of your comfort zone this year! It’s worth it. Have faith in yourself and “build the sideboard”. ✨

After searching for some table lamps for my new sideboard, I couldn’t justify spending 400+ on new lamps, when my sideboard ended up being less than that!
So I went to my local thrift store and hit the bonus! Two lamps that worked and were the exact shape I was looking for and the best part, only $20 for both!
With paint, baking soda, and some new lamp shades you would never know these weren’t high end lamps.
